The PHP bindings are not on the distribution because they need to be compiled against the PHP interpreter on your local system, wherever (and whichever) that is. The Antelope PHP interface is part of the Antelope contributed-code repository. Instructions for downloading the latest version are available at:
In order to compile the PHP tools, you will need to configure your system with amakelocal(1), then go into $ANTELOPE/src/contrib/data/php and type
In order to accomplish the amakelocal configuration, you can refer to the amakelocal(1) man-page; also you might want to check out Rob Newman's blog post
for some guidance (you'll have to modify those instructions by replacing "Darwin" with "Linux" in amakelocal.pf, and also point PHP_INC to the location of the PHP header files on your system, however the basic approach is correct).
